Nicky Dorne Brignac, of Ocean Isle Beach, died Tuesday April 29, 2014, at Novant Health Care Brunswick. He was 68.
He was a retired long-distance truck driver.
Mr. Brignac was born in Concord on May 11, 1945, and was the son of Helen Sehorn Carter of Southport and the late Henry Joseph Brignac. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Brignac, of Concord.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his daughter, Gina Schavez, of Riverside, Calif.; grandson, Christopher Schavez; three sisters, Janie McClellan and husband, Barry, of Ocean Isle Beach, Kathy Embler and husband, Mickey, of Southport and Debra Tarleton and friend, Ron, of Southport; and brother, Steve Brignac (Linda), of Florida.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday May 2, 2014 at White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, Shallotte with the Rev. Landis Lancaster officiating.
