Lottie Ruth Richardson, 98, inspiration to all who had the pleasure of meeting her

Lottie Ruth Richardson, of Bolivia, died peacefully at her home April 14, 2014, at the age of 98.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and gardening. She was an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

She was born in Columbus County on Sept. 2, 1915, and was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hattie Ezzell; five brothers; three sisters; husband, Lawrence Perry Richardson; son, James William Richardson; granddaughter, Connie Renee Richardson; and grandson, Perry Scott Brittain.

She is survived by her son, Liston Richardson; daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Hubert Brittain; daughter-in-law, Velma Richardson; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Brunswick Funeral Service, Southport/Supply Road with the Rev. Rick Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Community Home Care and Hospice for their support and help with Mrs. Richardson’s care and in her final days.
