Cherie Lee DuBois, of Wilmington, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was 46.
She was born June 9, 1967, in Bethpage, N.Y. and was a great, sensitive, fun-loving, good-hearted woman who loved her children and the seaside, maybe even more than life itself. She was always willing to lend a helping hand.
She is survived by her father, Frank Funk and wife, Lydia; mother, Ellen Kluepfel and husband, Doug; daughter, Ashlee Burke; son, Christopher DuBois; godmother and aunt, Lee Brady; aunt, Janet Hartmann; and fiance, James Buscemi.
The family will greet friends at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic church followed by a mass of the resurrection beginning at 10 a.m. with the Rev. John McGee officiating.
