Kathie Melgarejo Rinka, of Wilmington and formerly of Chicago, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014. She was 20 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Matthew James Rinka; mother, Socorro Munoz; father, Filemon Melgarejo; one sister; and five brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Cape Fear Baptist Church, 7300 Carolina Beach Rd., Wilmington, NC 28412 910.350.8224. She will be buried at Memory Lane Cemetery in Crown Point, Indiana.
