Randall “R.J.” Bain, Jr., 75, a hard-working man

Randall “R.J.” Bain, Jr., of Currie, died on Oct. 24, 2013.

After working many years, Mr. Bain was retired as an equipment operator with the City of Wilmington. He was a hard-working man who loved and took care of his family. Cherished memories of him will always remain in the hearts of those who knew Mr. Bain.

He was born March 19, 1938, in Currie and was preceded in death by his parents, Randall Graham and Lucy Norris Bain; beloved wife of 45 years, Betty Lou Bain; brothers, Bobby Ray Bain and Walter Bain; and sisters, Janie O’Mary, Alma Davis and Lida Bain.

Mr. Bain is survived by his children, Larry Bain, Tommy Bain (Toni) and Katie Cate (Richard); 10 grandchildren; brothers, Johnny Bain, Jerry Bain, Jimmy Bain, and Willie Bain; sisters, Betty Mae Leonard, Juanita Brant, Mary Watson, Darlene Moore and Frances Penny; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with Mr. Ernie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Bain Family Cemetery, 177 Cutoff Road, Dunn, NC.

The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. at the funeral home on Monday until hour of the service.
