WILMINGTON — Wilmington police officers and fire department crews helped rescue a man on Sunday who jumped from the Isabel Holmes Bridge.
Wilmington Police Department was called to the scene to help a person in crisis and attempted to speak to the individual who jumped into the Cape Fear River. Immediately thereafter, they coordinated a water rescue, as Wilmington Fire Department responded by boat with WPD assisting in locating the person and utilizing a citizen’s boat in the efforts.
The individual was was transported by EMS to Novant NHRMC for evaluation and treatment.
