CAROLINA BEACH — A new walking tour designed to introduce visitors to the murals in Carolina Beach has launched and is now available to book.
The Carolina Beach Mural Photo Tour is a one-hour walking tour that takes guests to eight murals. The guide will share the stories behind the artwork, the artist behind it, and the history of the Carolina Beach Mural Project.
The tour is also a professional photography experience. Led by Andrea Cannistraci, founder of andgreat and board member of the mural project, the guide will snap photos of guests with a professional camera, directing poses in front of the artwork. Guests will have access to a gallery of their photographs
“I wanted to create an experience that helps people see Carolina Beach through a different lens,” Cannistraci said in a press release. “Guests leave not only with beautiful photos, but with a deeper appreciation for the art, the artists, and the stories that make our community so special.”
Children ages 10 and under attend free, with ticket prices normally going for $55 a person. A portion of every purchase supports the Carolina Beach Mural Project and its mission to bring more public art to the island.
Tickets can be purchased here.
