LELAND — Leland just kicked off its latest addition to its growing town: a live entertainment series at Founders Park.
The town held a grand opening on July 31 for its “Live in Leland” concert and entertainment series at Founders Park. The new amphitheater will feature musical performances, theatrical productions and other performances from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. throughout August and heading into September. Beyond entertainment, the series will include local food trucks, a beer garden and yard games, in an effort to create more community spaces in the town.
The next show will be on August 13, featuring Departure: The Journey Tribute Band; then on August 21, the Brunswick Arts Council is putting on a performance of “Aesop’s Fables.” On August 27, The British Invaders will perform, and on September 3, Dear MariBella and the Pig Kickers will take the stage.
Information about road closures, parking information and any cancellations due to inclement weather can be found on the town’s website and social media accounts. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs or picnic blankets, sunscreen, a cooler, and water.
