Southport launches new websites

One of the two new websites for the City of Southport.

SOUTHPORT — The City of Southport is launching two new websites — cityofsouthport.gov and exploresouthportnc.gov. — designed to improve accessibility, transparency, and user experience for residents, businesses and visitors alike.

The City’s official website, cityofsouthport.gov, serves as the central hub for municipal services and information. The redesigned site features improved navigation, mobile-friendly functionality, streamlined access to forms and services, and easier access to department resources, announcements, and city updates.

“Our goal with these new websites was to create a more user-friendly, modern online experience that reflects Southport and the unique character of our community,” Public Information Officer ChyAnn Ketchum said in a press release. “I believe we did just that.”

The second website, exploresouthportnc.gov, highlights the charm and character of Southport as a coastal destination. Visitors can find information about local events, festivals, shopping, attractions, accommodations, and trip-planning resources.

“This new website represents an important step forward in how we promote Southport,” Community Relations Director Allayna Taylor said in the release. “With improved navigation, updated content, and a more user-friendly design, Explore Southport makes it easier than ever for residents and visitors alike to find what they’re looking for and maybe even discover something new.”

Residents and visitors are encouraged to explore the new sites and provide feedback as the City continues to enhance digital communication and service delivery. The Public Information Office requests that if there is anything that needs attention on the new websites, to please email coms@cityofsouthport.gov, and their team will investigate.
