Boil water advisory rescinded for Monkey Junction neighborhood

(Port City Daily/File)

WILMINGTON — Cape Fear Public Utility Authority lifted an emergency boil water advisory that went into effect Nov. 23.

The rescinded notification is for part of the Silver Lake community. Water service in the area has been returned to normal, CPUA reported.

Crews corrected a main water leak that affected 100 customers living in the 826 to 835 stretch of Lorraine Drive, all of Musevale Drive, all of Manteo Court, all of Arrow Court, all of Bellwood Court, and all of Arnold Road.

CFPUA lab staff tested the water to ensure its safety.
