‘Feast of Hope’ to provide Thanksgiving meals to those in need, volunteers welcome

PENDER COUNTY — A Thanksgiving Day event will ensure those in need will receive a hot meal for the upcoming holiday.

Pender County Schools presents “Feast of Hope” on Thursday, Nov. 24, 9 a.m to noon. The event has taken place over the last two years and has served to 1,500 meals to the greater Wilmington area.

Thanksgiving plates will be served, including dessert, a care package and a message of hope. Delivery service is also available.

The event takes place at Northside Church, 2501 N College Road, 9 a.m. to noon. Pre-orders are preferred and can be made here. Individuals who without a pre-order can pick up plates on a first-come, first-served basis.
