
WILMINGTON — The motion picture currently in production in town, “The Supremes At Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat,” needs extras for its last shooting day on Nov. 11.
TW Cast and Recruit has put out a casting call for clean-shaven, Black, middle-aged men who can be available for fittings on Nov. 7 and 8. Since it’s a period piece, all applicants must have natural hair — no dye jobs or modern styles — and be clean shaven.

There are also limited sizing in various costumes, so when applying, please, include accurate measurements in the extras database.

Pay for background extras is $115 for 10 hours and time-and-a-half for every hour exceeding the 10th. All extras will receive an $80 pay bump to take the required Covid-19 test, plus a $20 bump.
Everyone booked must be vaccinated and boosted.
Produced by Temple Hill Entertainment and Searchlight Pictures, “The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat” has a $23-million budget and stars Uzo Aduba, Sanaa Lathan and Aunjanue Ellis, all of whom play best friends dubbed “The Supremes.”
Based on the 2013 New York Times best-selling novel by Chicago writer Edward Kelsey Moore and directed by Tina Mabry (“Mississippi Damned,” “Pose”), the period piece moves from the 1960s through the 1990s. It follows Odette, Clarice and Barbara Jean, who meet every week at an Indiana diner. The movie follows their trials and triumphs as teenagers into adulthood, through each turn of their years-long bond.
It also features Russel Hornsby (“Fences), Mekhi Phifer (“Divergent”), (Kyanna Simone (“American Horror Stories”), Tati Gabrielle (“You”), Abigail Achiri (“The Underground Railroad”), Julian McMahon (“Nip/Tuck”), and Vondie Curtis-Hall (“Blue Bayou”). Tony Winters (“National Champions”) will portray Big Earl.
