WPD release photo of man who jumped into Cape Fear River

WILMINGTON — The body of a man who jumped into the Cape Fear River washed up near the North Carolina Ports last week. Now, the Wilmington Police Department wants help identifying him.

The male is hispanic, in his late 30s or early 40s, and last seen wearing a black zip jacket, neon green T-shirt, blue jeans and brown work boots.

He jumped into the Cape Fear River on Mar. 29, according to the WPD.

“Any assistance will be appreciated so that we can help bring closure to the family and friends,” WPD noted in a release.
