WILMINGTON — Ahead of the Wilson Center bringing Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” musical to town next month, the community will have a chance to win tickets to the production.

According to a press release, Wilson Center staff has hidden six golden tickets in businesses throughout New Hanover County. To find the tickets, Wilson Center staff will post clues on their Facebook and Instagram pages beginning Monday, Mar. 28.

Those who find them will score two tickets to the musical, which tours through Wilmington Apr. 26 and 27.

“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” features songs from the original “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” film, starring Gene Wilder — “Pure Imagination,” “The Candy Man” and “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket.”

Tickets must be redeemed at the Wilson Center’s box office (703 N. 3rd St.). Contest instructions and rules will be available on the Wilson Center’s website.
