Dierks Bentley playing Live Oak Bank Pavilion this June

WILMINGTON — The country vocalist behind “Beers on Me,” “Somewhere on a Beach” and “What Was I Thinkin'” is headed to Live Oak Bank Pavilion this summer.

Dierks Bentley announced Monday he will stop in 31 cities as part of a Live Nation-produced summer leg of his “Beers on Me” Tour. The trek kicks off in Wilmington on June 3 with openers Ashley McBryde and Travis Denning. He also is headlining Night in the Country music festival in Mill Spring, N.C. this August.

“A bunch of friends, ice cold beer and good Country music is just about all you need for a perfect summer,” Bentley said in a Live Nation release. “Every year when we plan a tour, I think this summer is going to the best yet…and this year is no different! I’m excited to have Ashley and Travis jump on this leg of the Beers On Me Tour…now just counting the days ’til June!”

With more than 6.4 billion streams and 20 top hits, Bentley is slated to be inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame in April.

Members of Verizon’s customer loyalty program will get first dibs on tickets Tuesday. The general sale starts Friday at 10 a.m.
