WILMINGTON — A fight that broke at Saturday evening resulted in one person being transported to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center after sustaining a gunshot wound.
The Wilmington Police Department noted officers arrived around 7:48 p.m. at 5112 Market St. — the location of the national restaurant chain Hooters — to learn a fight had erupted among multiple males. As officers were assessing the crime scene, a victim approached with a gunshot wound. It’s unclear if the person was involved in the altercation, but the victim was immediately transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
