County’s monthly rain barrel sale postponed

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The county’s Soil and Water Conservation District hosts monthly rain barrel sales but is forced to postpone the February event.

Due to supply chain issues, there is a lack of inventory. Slated to take place Feb. 10, the sale is rescheduled to Mar. 10 instead. Available will be 60- and 80-gallon barrels, sold 25% below retail prices. Sixty gallons is sold for $90 and 80 gallons is sold for $110.

The sale will take place 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the New Hanover County Government Center south entrance (230 Government Center Dr.). Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, and credit cards.
