Pender County needs actors for this month’s Ghost Walk

PENDER COUNTY — Just in time for the witching hour, Pender County’s annual Ghost Walk in the historic Burgaw cemetery gets underway later in the month. First, however, it’s looking for a few extra cast members.

The county has four roles open: one Black female and two Black males, as well as one white female. The Ghosts of Pender’s Past is the theme for the Oct. 22-23 walk, which takes place at 6 p.m. in the Burgaw Cemetery.

The roles are volunteer based and all proceeds from the walk go to the Pender Historical Society, Pender Arts Council, and the Historical Society of Topsail Island. Interested actors should contact Stephanie Key at 910-259-1536 for more information.
