NEW HANOVER COUNTY — First responders are attempting to extinguish a fire at a Lehigh Road home.
The blaze at 318 Lehigh Rd. injured the homeowner during an attempt to extinguish the flames before firefighters arrived. The burns were minor, according to New Hanover County Fire Marshal’s Office, and there are no other reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the county. New Hanover County Fire Rescue, City of Wilmington Fire Department, Carolina Beach Fire Department, Vidant, New Hanover EMS and New Hanover Sheriff’s Officer each responded to the scene
