Citizen Cope marks return to Greenfield Lake

WILMINGTON — Coming this spring, Clarence Greenwood, otherwise known as Citizen Cope, will be making his way back to the Greenfield Lake stage.

An American songwriter, producer and singer, CC’s sound is an amalgamation of blues, soul, folk, and rock. He has recorded 10 albums and since 2010 four were released under his own record label, Rainwater Recordings.

His work has been covered by Carlos Santana, Dido, Pharoahe Monch and Richie Havens.

Citizen Cope will be at Greenfield Lake on May 5 as part of his 2023 Solo Acoustic. He last played in 2019 locally to a sold-out crowd.

Tickets will go on sale here on Friday, Mar. 3, 10 a.m. The Live Nation presale code is OPENER.
