A Bolivia teen has been charged in connection with a threat that prompted lockdowns at South Brunswick middle and high schools Thursday afternoon.
Tevin Devon Lee, 18, has been charged with making a false report of mass violence on educational property, according to Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Emily Flax.
South Brunswick Middle and High schools were locked down Thursday afternoon in response to a written threat intercepted by a school administrator, Brunswick County Schools Spokeswoman Jessica Swencki said. The lockdown lasted about an hour, and classes resumed at 2 p.m. Thursday.
“At no time were any students or staff in danger,” Swencki said.
Lee was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center where he was placed under a $10,000 secured bond
