NEW HANOVER COUNTY — For voters in search of a place to view results coming in for Election Day, New Hanover County is opening its government to the public on the night of Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The event takes place at 230 Government Center Dr. in Conference Rooms 136 and 137, off the main lobby. Polls close at 7:30 p.m. and the doors to the event open at 7 p.m.

Unofficial results from the North Carolina State Board of Elections will be displayed on screens throughout as they become available. Members of the public, candidates, political parties, and the media are welcome to attend and follow results throughout the evening.

Two seats are up on the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners; read more here about the candidates in questionnaires published by Port City Daily earlier this fall.
