WILMINGTON — Susan Kay Terry, 77, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, at her home in Little River, South Carolina. She was born Susan Fisher on August 3, 1949, in Mansfield, Ohio.
Susan was a proud Ohioan and a true Buckeye. After graduating from The Ohio State University, she stayed at Ohio State, where she worked with students and the Honors Program. Her love for the university—and especially the Buckeyes—remained a part of her throughout her life.
On December 7, 1991, Susan married her best friend and the love of her life, Ken Terry. Together, they built a life filled with love, adventure, and the outdoors. They traveled throughout the country in their RV, enjoying the freedom of the open road and discovering new places together.
In 1995, Susan and Ken moved to the mountains of South Carolina, where they built and sold three homes. Eventually, they made their way to the coast, where they built two more homes and created the place they would call home in Little River.
Susan will be deeply missed by her loving and devoted husband, Ken; her sister, Julie Leonard of Mansfield, Ohio; and her stepchildren, David Terry of Newark, Ohio, and Cindy DeVol of Grant, Florida and several grandchildren.
A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at her home in Little River, South Carolina.
