NEW HANOVER COUNTY — New Hanover County Health and Human Services is offering a back-to-school vaccine clinic with extended hours for children entering school or day care during the 2026-2027 academic year.
The clinic, at 1650 Greenfield St., serves children from birth through age 18. It is open from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
The clinic will remain open until 6:45 p.m. on the following dates:
- Tuesday, Aug. 18
- Tuesday, Sept. 1
- Tuesday, Sept. 15
- Thursday, Sept. 24
Families should bring their insurance information and each child’s vaccination history. Children will be vaccinated regardless of insurance status, but they must have a record in the North Carolina Immunization Registry or provide a vaccination record from another state.
Available vaccines include:
- Tdap and DTaP
- Polio
- Hepatitis A and B
- Meningococcal
- Measles, mumps and rubella
- Chickenpox
- Haemophilus influenzae type b
- Pneumococcal
- Rotavirus
- Human papillomavirus vaccines
Certain meningococcal vaccines are required for students entering seventh and 12th grades.
Spanish interpreters will be available on-site, and translation services for additional languages will also be offered.
