WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — Next week, the state transportation department will have crews in Wrightsville Beach preparing for the three-bridge replacement project on the horizon. They’re set to begin utility relocation.
Work will start on Monday, July 20, by moving power poles near the West Salisbury Street (U.S. 74) bridge over Lee’s Cut. The construction is critical to the project; utility relocation is expected to be completed by mid-August, weather permitting.
Though the work is mostly expected to happen outside road lanes and won’t impact traffic, if minor closures are required, NCDOT will schedule them at night and notify the public.
