NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Starting Monday, those interested in running for soil and water conservation district supervisors in the county may file for their 2026 candidacy.
Filing begins at noon on June 8 and ends at 5 p.m. on July 6 and can be submitted at the New Hanover County Board of Elections at 226 Government Center Drive. Candidates must submit their filing in person; it cannot be completed by a surrogate or staff member. Candidates are also allowed, however, to submit their notice by mail if the forms are completed in the presence of a notary and delivered within the filing period.
The soil and water conservation district supervisor candidacy filing fee is $5. More information about filing requirements can be found here.
