WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — Cape Fear Public Utility Authority crews will shutter a block of Parmele Boulevard in Wrightsville Beach overnight Thursday to replace broken water valves.

The road will close at 7 p.m. on March 26, in the 00 block of Parmele Boulevard between North Lumina Avenue and Bermuda Drive. The right turn will also be blocked onto Parmele Boulevard from North Lumina Avenue, according to CFPUA.

Motorists will need to detour around the closure using Circle Drive. Only local traffic can pass from Bermuda Drive, Palmetto Drive, and Bahama Drive.

CFPUA anticipates the closure to last around eight hours.
