WILMINGTON — The area community college has a new member to its board of trustees to serve out a former members’ term.

Teddy Davis was appointed on Thursday, Sept. 25, to fulfill the remainder of former Trustee Bruce Moskowitz’s term.

Davis owns Farmers Supply Company on Oleander Drive and has employed numerous students and graduates of the community college, while also utilizing its Small Business Center services.

According to CFCC, he is a New Hanover High and UNC graduate, who also has worked on local boards, including the New Hanover County Cooperative Extension, the Airlie Gardens Foundation, and the Boy Scouts of America.

“We are excited to welcome Ted to the CFCC Board of Trustees,” said Jim Morton, CFCC President. “As a Wilmington native, he has witnessed firsthand the tremendous growth of our community and the college. His deep local roots, business experience, and commitment to service will be invaluable as we continue to expand opportunities for students and strengthen CFCC’s role in the region.”
