Monday, Aug. 25
The UNCW Board of Trustees’ DEI subcommittee will meet at 9 a.m. in Alderman Hall on UNCW’s campus, 601 S. College Road. The agenda includes:

Leland Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m. at the Leland Cultural Arts Center. The agenda includes:

The Belville Planning Board will meet at Brunswick Community College Leland Center Room, 2045 Enterprise Dr., at 6 p.m. Two public hearings are planned for:

- Text amendment for fences and walls, nonstructural, and how the town measures them
Wednesday, Aug. 27
The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Board will meet at 3 p.m. in the WMPO board room at 525 N. Fourth St. The meeting will be livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- WMPO Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Comprehensive Safety Action Plan Development Update

Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority is scheduled fto meet at 12:30pm at Forden Station, 505 Cando St. The agenda includes:
- Discussion of proposed route and service changes to improve on-time performance and coverage
- Discussion of proposed discounted bus pass program for qualified nonprofit agencies
Cape Fear Public Utility Authority Long Range Planning Committee will meet at 235 Government Center Dr. at 3 p.m. The agenda includes:
- Fourth Quarter 2025 CIP Report
- Water Master Planning Update
The New Hanover County Commissioners will hold an agenda review at 4 p.m. in the NHC Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive. An agenda was not posted by press.
The Oak Island Planning Board will hold a special meeting on Aug. 28, 5 p.m., in council chambers, second floor of Town Hall, 4601 E. Oak Island Dr. The purpose of the meeting is to consider making a recommendation on the proposed update of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
