Tuesday, July 1
Kure Beach Town Council will meet at 10 a.m. in council chambers for a special meeting to hold a swearing-in ceremony for Brandon Bailey as the Kure Beach Police Chief.
Pender County Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. at the Hampstead Annex, 15060 US Highway 17. The agenda includes a request for a conditional zoning map amendment for the development of 50 townhome units and 20 single-family detached units and approximately 3,800 square feet of commercial building space on the east side of US Highway 17, northeast of Edens Lane and southwest of Union Bethel Road in Topsail Township. Surf City Town Council will meet at 4:30 p.m. in the Surf City Municipal Complex, 214 West Florence Way. The agenda includes a map revision and budget ordinance amendment for the multiuse path project, and a rezoning request for 102 North Shore Drive. The meeting will livestream here.
Wilmington Housing Authority (WHA) Board of Commissioners Meeting will take place at 4 p.m., followed by the Housing and Economic Opportunities, Inc. (HEO) Board of Directors Meeting. Thereafter, the Glover Plaza, Inc. Board of Directors Meeting also will happen. Meetings will be held at Rankin Terrace, 415 N 12th St. An agenda was not posted by press.
Wednesday, July 2
North Topsail Beach Board of Alderman will meet at 11 a.m. in the Town Hall, 2008 Loggerhead Court. The agenda includes a public hearing and consideration of a request for a special use permit to develop a designated parking area for bicycles, golf carts, and low-speed vehicles at 380 New River Inlet Road. The board will also hear department head reports and Board of Adjustment and Planning Board vacancies/applications. The meeting will livestream here.
Thursday, July 3
Burgaw Tourism Development Authority will meet at 8:30 a.m. at 108 E. Wilmington St. An agenda was not posted by press.
Pender County Technical Review Committee will meet at 9 a.m. 805 South Walker Street, Burgaw. The agenda includes an application for the construction of a community boat storage facility and for the construction of a pool contractor/sales office and warehouse. The meeting will livestream here.
