Monday, Dec. 16
Pender County Board of Commissioners will have a special meeting at 4 p.m.; an agenda was not posted by press. The board meets at 805 S. Walker St in Burgaw; meetings are livestreamed here.
Kure Beach Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. at the 117 Settlers Land. The agenda includes funding of $591,576.80 for lifeguard services for the summer of 2024 and a letter of support for WMPO to apply for federal funding for a Resilience Improvement Planning Grant application to reduce negative impacts to the transportation system and for public safety. Carolina Beach Board of Adjustment will meet at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers, 1121 N. Lake Park Boulevard. A public hearing will take place on a variance to the required 20-foot front yard setback for 1621 S Lake Park Blvd. Meetings can be livestreamed here.
Town of Leland Audit Committee will meet at 12:30 p.m. at town hall. The agenda includes the FYE2024 audit by Thompson, Price, Scott, Adams & Co., P.A. Meetings can be watched here.
Town of Leland Council will have an agenda review at 1 p.m. at town hall and will include an update on the CDBG-NR Grant Program. The meeting can be watched here.

Tuesday, Dec. 17
North Topsail Beach Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at 2008 Loggerhead Court. The agenda includes the appeal by Aneta Paval of the denial of a fence permit at 14 Green Oar Street. Meetings can be watched here.
The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Board of Directors will meet at 10 a.m. at 525 N. Fourth St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:

Town of Leland Board of Adjustment will meet at 2 p.m. at town hall. The agenda includes a quasi-judicial hearing on a variance request regarding area, yard and height requirements and design requirements, as well as approving meeting dates for the 2025 year. It can be livestreamed here.
Town of Leland Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m. in town hall. The agenda includes a conditional rezoning district application from Thomas & Hutton LLC on behalf of property owners for a 31.5-acre site near Mallory Creek Plantation. The site plan includes a mixed-use development of 127 townhomes, built amenity areas, multi-use pathways, and a commercial node, featuring 5,000 square feet or restaurant space, 15,000 square feet of retail and 10,000 square feet of office space. Town of Belville ABC Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. at 63 River Road. The agenda includes a quote for a Gaskins upgrade, firearms and closing an hour early on New Year’s Eve. The meeting is open to the public.
Wednesday, Dec. 18
Topsail Beach Planning Board will meet at 820 S. Anderson Blvd. at 10 a.m. The agenda includes a discussion about roofed gazebos on the oceanfront. Video is posted here.
Brunswick Regional Water and Sewer H2GO will meet at 5 p.m. at 146 Gregory Road in Belville. The agenda includes an engineering director’s report and a public hearing to establish voting districts.
