WILMINGTON — Organizations that bring economic development to the region are welcomed to apply through the City of Wilmington’s grant program for the 2026 through 2028 fiscal years.

The Civic Development Partner Agency Funding Program supports agencies that focus on economic development leadership that affect the tax base, create jobs and help stimulate the local economy by driving visitors to the region.

Eligibility for nonprofits include:

  • Cultivating Wilmington’s cultural identity through the arts, attractions, or events
  • Providing services to recruit, grow, or retain businesses within the city

Applications are due Monday, Jan. 31, 2025, by 3 p.m.  The city manager’s office will review them and make recommendations for the council’s budget approval.
