Monday, Aug. 12
The Brunswick County Planning Board will meet at 4 p.m. in the commissioners’ chambers at 30 Government Center Drive in Bolivia. Meetings are open to the public. The agenda includes:
- Hankins Tract: a 26.81 acre development consisting of 93 family units on Old Ocean Highway.
- The Perserve at White Rock Lake: a 42.81 acre development consisting of 99 single family units.
- Clearwell Estates: a 66.5 acre development consisting of 79 single family units.
The Town of Leland’s Town Council will have an agenda review meeting at 1 p.m. in town hall, 102 Town Hall Drive in Leland. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- An update on Founders Park reopening
- Integrated Mobility Plan focus group representative
- An update on October 5 Lend a Hand in Leland
The CFPUA Executive Committee meets at 9 a.m. in the NHC Room 136, 235 Government Center Dr. The agenda includes monthly reports.
The Town of Belville’s Board of Commissioners will have a special meeting at 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 63 River Road in Belville. A closed session will be held to discuss USG 15 CVS 1217 and the Holt lawsuit with town attorneys.
Tuesday, Aug. 13
The Town of Belville’s Board of Adjustment will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Chambers at Town Hall, 63 River Road in Belville. An agenda was not posted by press.
The Town of Oak Island’s Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers, at Town Hall at 4601 East Oak Island Drive. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- budget amendment and a contract with McGill Associates for engineering services related to the crosswalks and signals project on Beach Drive.
- Consideration of planning board request to allow another month to provide recommendation on large houses
- Consideration of a resolution requesting a 35 MPH speed limit for Beach Drive and Ocean Drive year round
The Brunswick County Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. at the Center of Applied Sciences and Technology (The COAST), 1109 Old Ocean Highway in Bolivia. The agenda includes:
- School Nurse Funding Initiative agreement
- Text amendments to policy 4311 regarding the use of wireless communication devices and policy 4316 regarding student dress and appearance.
- College Advising Corps MOU
Pender County Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. at Hampstead Annex, 15060 US Highway 17. The agenda includes four rezoning requests, including a revision of the Oak Ridge Master Development Plan to allow real estate offices and commercial banks on the eastern side of Highway 17 in the Topsail Township.
The Pender County Board of Elections meets at 6 p.m. at 807 S. Walker St. in Burgaw. An agenda was not posted by press; the public is welcome.
CFPUA HR Committee meets at 10:30 a.m. in the Jordan Room at 245 Government Room. The agenda includes employee benefits review and employee leadership and development discussion.
Carolina Beach Town Council meets at 6 p.m. in council chambers, 1121 N. Lake Park Boulevard. The agenda includes enhancing harbor stays and safety and amending marina rates and fees. The meeting can be livestreamed here.
The New Hanover County Board of Education will hold a town hall with employees at 5 p.m. in the Board of Education Center, 1805 S. 13th St. The meeting will not be livestreamed. The agenda can be viewed here.
Wednesday, Aug. 14
Topsail Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:00 p.m. at 820 S Anderson Blvd. The agenda includes discussion of a funding request from the Topsail Chamber of Commerce and discussion of a text amendment for the coastal construction line limit.
The Southport ABC Board meets at 2 p.m. at the ABC Storem 714 N. Howe St. An agenda was not posted by press.
Cape Fear Public Utility Authority Board meets at 9 a.m. in Room 139 at 235 Government Dr. The agenda includes reports from the executive director, attorney, and committees.
Thursday, Aug. 15
The Brunswick Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the executive boardroom at 50 College Road in Bolivia. An agenda was not posted by press.
The Town of Leland’s Town Council will have a regular meeting at 6 p.m. in town hall, 102 Town Hall Drive in Leland. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- A resolution to adopt the Age-Friendly Community Strategic Plan
- Resolution that supports NCDOT’s application for funding to install a traffic signal and make intersection improvements at Lanvale Road and Fletcher Road.
- A contract with Exult Engineering for the U.S. Highway 17 Pedestrian Crossing Project.
The Town of Navassa’s Town Council will have a regular meeting at 7:30 in town hall, 338 Main Street in Navassa. An agenda was not posted by press.
The Town of Oak Island’s Planning Board will meet at 9 a.m. in the Town Council Chambers, at Town Hall at 4601 East Oak Island Drive. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes a review of town’s UDO regarding height limitations exceptions and a discussion of Town Council directive to review maximum home size in the Town’s jurisdiction.
The City of Southport’s Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m. at the Southport Community Building, 223 East Bay Street in Southport. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- A modification/rezoning to the Cades Cove development
- Preliminary Plat for the Turtle Bay subdivision
- Dosher Hospital emergency department major site plan
The Wilmington Board of Adjustment will meet at 1 p.m. in city hall, 102 N. Third St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- 4009 Masonboro Loop Road: Variance to City Code Section 18-199 (A)(1), Accessory Buildings & Structures: The gross total square footage of all accessory buildings shall not exceed one hundred (100) percent of the gross floor area of the primary structure.
