Man shot Monday night on Wilshire Boulevard

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department are investigating a shooting that took place Monday around 10:30 p.m.

A man was injured by gunshots that had also struck a vehicle in the 4000 block of Wilshire Boulevard. Aid was provided to the victim until Wilmington Fire Department and EMS arrived and transported him to Novant NHRMC with non-life-threatening injuries.

WPD continues investigating the incident; anyone with information should call the WPD at (910) 343-3600 or use Tip 411.
