WILMINGTON — Beginning today, intermittent lane closures on North Kerr Avenue will block areas between Truesdale Road and Hall Waters Drive for the next two weeks, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The closures will allow construction for the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority Northern Regional Pump Station to work on underground pipes that convey wastewater in the northern part of the county. Once completed, the wastewater conveyance capacity will be increased significantly.

During the temporary closures, only one lane will be open and flaggers will direct traffic around the closures.
