Shallotte’s license plate agency relaunches

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Another North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles will be reopening in Shallotte.

A contract operator’s license ended Dec. 20, 2023 but has been renewed to be operated by Harvey Godwin. It will reopen May 23 at 5300 Main St., Suite A, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on state holidays.

LPAs offer vehicle registration services and title transactions, as well as vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags, handicap placards and duplicate registrations.

Services such as property tax payments and registration renewals can also be completed online here.
