CAROLINA BEACH — Starting Jan. 1, sales for the 2024 Carolina Beach parking passes, re-entry decals, and golf cart permits will begin.

The digital parking passes are available for automobiles and low-speed vehicles, only for permanent Carolina and Kure Beach residents or property and business owners. They cost $40 each and can be obtained by filling in a completed application, vehicle registration and proof of residency or business ownership.

Carolina Beach District business owners can purchase a digital pass for employees as well for $100 each, with completed application and vehicle registration required.

Permanent Carolina Beach residents and business owners will need a re-entry decal to gain entrance back to the island should a major storm shutter access. They’re free through Mar. 31 but will be $20 thereafter. An application must be filled out, including vehicle registration and proof of residency or property ownership.

Golf cart permits also will be on sale for $100. They’re available to Carolina Beach residents and property/business owners that obtained a permit last year.

All permit types will be available for purchase online Jan. 1. Starting Jan. 2, permits can be purchased in person at the parking office, 1708 Canal Dr., or town hall, 1121 N. Lake Park Blvd.
