
WILMINGTON — A female was found deceased in the 3000 block of Adirondack Way on Sunday morning, following a wellness check.
A family member called Wilmington Police Department out of concern for the well-being of another family member who they had not heard from. Upon arrival at the home, officers knocked but received no response.
As this was uncharacteristic of the victim, officers contacted a key holder for the apartment and found 34-year-old Adriana Hall dead from a gunshot wound.
Investigators began their search, which led to the arrest of a 17-year-old male who was located at a nearby park. The victim and offender were relatives.
He has been charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and auto larceny.
Police noted this is five of the nine homicides to have taken place in Wilmington this year related to domestic violence. Anyone in need of seek should contact Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, 910-343-0703.
