1 man fatally shot, another victim injured; arrest made in Fort Fisher incident

FORT FISHER — New Hanover County Sheriff’s office has arrested Adrian Maurice Hall Jr. for his alleged involvement in a morning shooting at Fort Fisher Historic Park. One man is dead and another victim critically injured.

According to the office, detectives arrested Hall for on multiple charges, including fatally shooting Christopher Fenti.

Lieutenant Jerry Brewer confirmed with Port City Daily the homicide was carried out with multiple gunshots in a parking lot at Fort Fisher Historic Park. Brewer added there were various witnesses and authorities were alerted to the scene by several 911 calls.

“I don’t have a time of when it came in to 911; I believe it was around 8:30 a.m. but don’t hold me to that number,” Brewer told Port City Daily.

Fenti was in his vehicle at the historic battlefield when Hall approached and shot off multiple rounds, striking Fenti numerous times. One bullet went through the vehicle and struck another victim in the head; the person, rushed to New Hanover Regional Medical Center, remains in critical condition, according to police.

Hall has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder and two charges of discharging a firearm into an occupied property. He is being held without bond at the county detention center.
