Several rail crossings to close this month

WILMINGTON — Five railroad crossings will close later this month in preparation for track replacements of the CSX line in November.

The crossings worked on this month will serve as detours when the remaining 20 crossings spanning from S. Fourth St. to Covil Avenue.

The following crossings will close this month:

  • N. 23rd St. crossing on June 19 at 5 a.m.; will reopen June 21 at 4:30 a.m.
  • Princess Place Drive on June 21 at 5 a.m.; will reopen June 23 by 5 p.m.
  • Wrightsville Avenue on June 26 at 5 a.m. will reopen June 28 at 4:30 p.m.
  • S. 17th St. and S. 16th St. on June 28 at 5 a.m. will reopen June 30 by 5 p.m.
