WILMINGTON — Roadway repairs are underway in Wilmington, with work expected to wrap by June.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is repairing curb and gutters, milling and resurfacing and new pavement markings at the following streets:

  • Market Street from Third to Wetsig Road
  • Independence Boulevard from Shipyard to Oleander
  • South Third Street from Market to Wooster

Crews will need to close a lane on the affected corridors overnight between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays to complete the work. NCDOT encourages drivers to avoid the areas if possible and to drive slowly.
