The New Hanover County Board of Education’s Policy Committee will meet at 12 p.m. in the Board of Education Center at 1802 S. 15th St. in Wilmington. The meetings can be streamed on YouTube. The agenda includes:

The New Hanover County Board of Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. at 24 North Third Street, Room 301. The meeting may be livestreamed via YouTube. Some highlights from the agenda include:
- Considering approval of an amendment to the county administration redevelopment to add a $5.6 million dedicated elections facility
- An annual report on the county’s water quality monitoring program
The Belville Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:30 p.m. at 63 River Road. The board will discuss joining the American Flood Coalition, receive its annual audit report and hear an update on Brunswick County’s latest property revaluation.
Tuesday, Jan. 24
The Wilmington City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. at city hall, 102 N 3rd St. The meeting can be livestreamed on GTV8 and YouTube. A few items on the agenda include:
- A resolution and ordinance appropriating $750,000 to enter into a purchase agreement with River Ventures, LLC. to buy 929 N. Front St., 1001 N. Front St., and 1021 N. Front St. Read PCD coverage here.
- Ordinance to appropriate $55,000 from the New Hanover Community Endowment for the purchase of sport wheelchairs and a storage container
- Public hearing to rezone 2.52 acres at 222, 224, 226, 234, , 238, 242, and 246 Victory Gardens Drive and 5815 Tulip Drive from R-15 moderate-density residential to R-5 medium-density residential for 24 townhomes.
The Leland Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m. at 102 Town Hall Drive. According to the agenda, the board will discuss applying a zoning district to 3.9 acres of land.
Wednesday, Jan. 25
Topsail Beach Planning Board will meet 10 a.m. at town hall, 820 S. Anderson Blvd. A few items on the agenda include:
- Review final draft of comprehensive land use plan

- Discuss and consider text amendment to section 14-72, to add a 3-foot freeboard for service equipment to structures
