Monday, July 25
The Belville Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:30 p.m. in town hall chambers, 63 River Road. The agenda includes an update on the Belville Riverwalk and a resolution on the Multi-Use Path Project.
Tuesday, July 26
The Carolina Beach Town Council will hold a workshop at 9 a.m. in council chambers, 1121 N. Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach. The meeting can be livestreamed on YouTube. An agenda was not posted as of press.
The Leland Planning Board will meet at 6:00 p.m. in town hall chambers, 102 Town Hall Dr. The meeting can be livestreamed on YouTube. The agenda includes review of a preliminary subdivision plat, a text amendment and three zoning recommendations.
The Pender County Board of Education will host a special meeting at 6 p.m. at the Katherine Herring Resource Center, 798 U.S. Hwy. 117 in Burgaw. The purpose is to discuss the superintendent search and personnel matters. The meeting will be livestreamed here until its closed session. The board will also meet at 4 p.m. but the meeting is not open to the public.
The Wilmington Housing Authority will hold multiple committee meetings at Ranking Terrace Place, 415 N 12th St. The Community Outreach and Resident Services Committee will meet at 3 p.m., followed by the Real Estate Development Committee at 4 p.m. and the Policy, Administration and Finance Committee immediately following.
Wednesday, July 27
The Town of Topsail Planning Board will meet at 10 a.m. at Town Hall, 820 S. Anderson Blvd. The meeting can be livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- An update on the town’s comprehensive land use plan
- A text amendment to allow swimming pools as a standalone use
- Staff recommendations to change detailed standards for driveways
The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Board will meet at 3 p.m. on the 6th floor of 320 Chestnut St. in Wilmington. The meeting can be livestreamed on Zoom. The agenda includes:
- A presentation on a congestion management plan
- Discussion from NCDOT about project delivery options for the replacement of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge
The Wilmington Design Adjustment Committee will meet at 1:30 p.m. for a special meeting to discuss a request for waivers from street rights-of-way standards for a mixed-use project at 349 Military Cutoff Rd. The meeting can be livestreamed on YouTube.
Thursday, July 28
The UNCW Board of Trustees will meet at 8:30 a.m. in UNCW’s Burney Center at 601 South College Rd. The agenda can be found here.
The WAVE Transit Authority will meet at 12:30 p.m. at Forden Station, 505 Cando St. The public can tune in here or via audio conference: (312) 757-3121, access code 844-936-749. A few items on the agenda include:
- Approving UNCW service contract for the Seahawk Shuttle
- Monthly updates
- Public comment period — 5 minutes per person allowed
