
SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — This week in New Hanover County Schools, the administrative office reported 23 cases of Covid-19 across all campuses.
At least 80 people were assigned to quarantine after they were exposed to the virus in a school facility, according to NHCS’ public online dashboard.
The district’s reporting updates Friday afternoon and includes only cases that are self reported by parents and students.
NHCS has reported 822 positive cases total since Oct. 12.

Brunswick County Schools
Brunswick County Schools is reporting 14 active Covid-19 cases and more than 170 precautionary quarantines as of Friday afternoon.
Since Aug. 21, BCS has recorded 405 positive cases – and 391 recoveries – among its students and staff.
Port City Daily obtains its numbers for BCS through the district’s online dashboard, which is made up of data from the Brunswick County Health Department.

Pender County Schools’ most recent Covid-19 update is from March 8-14. As of then, the district had eight cases and 61 quarantines.
Since Aug. 1, 522 staff and students in PCS tested positive for the virus. 514 are recovered.
Port City Daily obtains its numbers from PCS through the district’s online reporting, which updaates on Mondays with any positive cases the school is aware of through either self-reporting and the Pender County Health Department.
