WILMINGTON — Early Saturday morning, Wilmington police officers responded to a shooting in the Love Grove neighborhood.
According to the Wilmington Police Department (WPD), officers responded to a shooting call around 12:50 a.m. to the 1400 block of Corbett Street.
“Upon arrival, officers found a 25-year-old male victim suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds and a 29-year-old female victim suffering from non-life-threatening wounds. The first victim was transported to the hospital and was undergoing surgery overnight, but the second refused transport,” according to WPD. It’s not clear if both were shot or if the female’s wounds were sustained in some other way.
