Leland police say ‘multiple victims’ in statutory rape, sexual battery arrest

LELAND — Police Chief Brad Shirley announced on Friday evening that a lengthy investigation with multiple juvenile victims had concluded in an arrest.

According to Shirley, “Investigators with the Leland Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division arrested a subject in connection with reported past occurred sexual assaults involving juveniles. The arrest closes a lengthy investigation involving multiple victims.”

The arrest of Brian Louis Page, 43, stems from incidents dating back over a year, including one on October 27, 2018, according to information from the Leland Police Department. Page is charged with two counts of felony statutory rape (with a victim being 15 or younger), five counts of felony indecent liberties with minor children, one count of sexual battery (a misdemeanor), and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor (a misdemeanor).

Page is being held in the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $500,000 secured bond.
