
WILMINGTON — Sublime with Rome and Michael Franti & Spearhead will hit up the main stage of the 2020 Azalea Music Festival.
The bands join Avett Brothers and Aaron Lewis in the festival’s main stage concert series, next to the CFCC Schwartz Center on 701 N. Front Street in downtown Wilmington.

Sublime with Rome is expected to perform at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 3. The band was formed when Eric Wilson, formerly of the ‘American ska punk’ band Sublime before frontman Bradley Nowell’s overdose death in 1996 while on tour in San Francisco, teamed up with Rome Ramirez in 2008.
Michael Franti & Spearhead will follow at 9 p.m. Friday night. The band’s music is a combination of hip hop with funk, folk, rock, jazz, and reggae.
The festival’s music lineup will kick off Thursday night with country musician Aaron Lewis at 7 p.m. and finish with the Avett Brothers at 7 p.m. on Saturday night, marking the North Carolina brothers’ return to the festival after also headlining in 2011.
Tickets for Sublime with Rome and Michael Franti & Spearhead can be purchased here beginning Saturday, February 8 at 10 a.m.; a “Fan Clubs Presale” will begin this Wednesday at 10 a.m. Gates open each night at 5 p.m.
