Update: The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office reports Malakhi Cooper has been located and returned home safe.
NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help located a teenage boy last seen on Tuesday.
Malakhi Cooper, 13, was last seen on Tuesday at 101 Apple Road, a neighborhood in northwestern New Hanover County bordered by Castle Hayne Road and I-140.
According to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office (NHCSO), Malakhi is five foot, three inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds with a slight build; Malakhi is described as an African American male with brown eyes and a short, brown afro.
