Brunswick Sheriff’s Office asking public for help to find missing man in Oak Island area

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help located a man who went missing from the St. James area on Wednesday.

Chris Garner, a 29-year-old man, went missing from St. James area, but the Sheriff’s Office believes he may be in Oak Island, just south of St. James.

Garner is a white male, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with brown eyes and black hair. He has no reported distinguishing marks or tattoos.

It is unknown what Garner was wearing when he disappeared; according to authorities, he drives a black Ford Fusion.
