Next week, Brunswick County’s Planning Board will review two planned developments near Winnabow.

Country Walk, a 37-acre planned subdivision, is planned off Highway 17. The planned, 92 single-family units will sit behind Go Chicken Coop, a highway-facing business.

Across the highway from Leland in Brunswick Forest, a developer is planning a townhome development, Leland Commercial. The 30-acre site plans to include 11-acres of commercial development with 123 townhouse units. Water and sewer will be provided by Brunswick Regional Water and Sewer H2GO, according to a letter provided by the utility provider’s executive director.

Last month, the county’s planning board approved a 421-unit development near Ocean Isle Beach. Ocean Lakes is located on over 220 acres near the intersection of Ocean Isle Beach Road and Old Georgetown Road. The project will include 58 townhouses and 13 acres of commercial development, according to its planned development plans.

In July, the board approved a 27-unit development off Highway 87. A low-density residential subdivision, Broadwater Landing is planned to cover over 55 acres.

Meanwhile, Sunset Ridge, Cameron Woods, Waterbrook Woods and Campbell’s Ridge are among approved subdivisions, currently under construction in the county.
